Praval Sharma, also known as Sharmaji Technical for his tech YouTube channel, revealed his lifetime earnings from YouTube to be around ₹83 Lakhs. In a recent Q&A video, he talked about the time when he made maximum money and shared a screenshot of YouTube ad revenue.
YouTube ad revenue is the earnings from advertisements shown in videos as pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads. This is the primary earning source for YouTube creators and the ₹83 Lakhs is the same earning for Sharmaji’s channel.
In addition to this, creators make a major chunk of their money from brand sponsorships where they get paid for promoting a brand or its products and services in their videos.
Sharmaji, in the same Q&A video, talked about the commercials he would charge brands in his peak time around 2018-19. He shared that he had charged Amazon some ₹20 Lakhs, and ₹5 Lakhs to companies like Oppo and Vivo for a sponsored video.
He earned around ₹4 Crores in 2018 and 2019 including all earning sources. Then, the performance of his channel dropped making him some ₹50 Lakhs in the year 2020.
Started in 2015, Sharmaji Technical is the first tech YouTube channel to make videos in Hindi and the channel has seen both highs and lows. After 2020, Sharmaji saw a decline in views and he uploaded very few videos in the next 2 years in comparison to the number of videos he used to publish.
Now, he’s back with regular uploads hoping to thrive again and sharing honest tech reviews with the people. He has started a new Q&A series ‘SharmjiDilSE UNFILTERED‘ and episode 3 of this series is the video where he talked about his lifetime earnings.
