FISH | Sardines Fish Recipe | Mathi Meen Varuval & Kuzhambu Cooking in Village | Fish Fry & Curry

In the misty hills of Munnar, inside a lush tea estate, we cook the famous mathi meen (chaala) recipe loved across Kerala. We prepare a crispy sardine fish fry (mathi meen varuval) with hand-ground masala and cold-pressed gingelly oil, followed by a rich and flavorful fish curry (mathi meen kuzhambu). Surrounded by mountain air and tea plantations, we enjoy the fish fry and curry with hot rice — right in the middle of the hills and on the hilltop, celebrating the authentic taste of Kerala’s beloved chaala fish in a pure village style.
