The Prime Minister, was heard saying to Ankit, “I will learn something from you today.” “How will Swachhata Abhiyan help fitness?” PM Modi asked Ankit.“Keeping the environment clean is our duty. If the environment remains healthy then we too will,” Ankit replied to PM Modi.
In the video which lasted 281 seconds, PM Modi went on to ask Ankit how much time he dedicated towards physical activities, to which he said 4-5 hours.”I get motivated seeing you exercise,” Ankit told PM Modi. PM Modi then says “I don’t do much exercise. I do sufficient exercise that is needed to accomplish my day-to-day activities.”
Beginning of the Journey
Ankit Baiyanpuria, also known as Ankit Singh, was born on August 31 in Bayanpur, Sonipat, Haryana.Ankit Baiyanpuria hails from a middle-class family. His father is a farmer by profession while his mother is a homemaker. He attended Government High School, Bayanpur Lahrara, for his primary education up to the 10th grade. Afterwards, he studied in the Arts stream at Government Senior Secondary School, Model Town, Sonipat, from 2013 to 2015 for his 11th and 12th standards. Ankit later enrolled at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDIJ), Rohtak, to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree but eventually transitioned into a career as a social media influencer.
Career Journey
Baiyanpuria started his career on YouTube by making funny videos in Haryanvi on his channel called Haryanvi Khagad. But during the COVID-19 lockdown, he changed the focus of his content to fitness, including diets and workouts. As a result, he renamed his YouTube channel to Ankit Baiyanpuria.
He mainly promotes traditional wrestling workouts like sapate (Desi wrestling burpees), rope climbing, and running. He trains with his coach, Krishan Pahalwan, in his village.
In June, Ankit celebrated a big accomplishment when his YouTube channel reached 3.85 Lakh subscribers, Earning him a Silver and Gold play button from YouTube.
On June 27, Baiyanpuria started the 75 Hard Challenge, Created by American Entrepreneur and author Andy Frisella in 2020. This challenge includes daily tasks like taking a selfie, sticking to a strict diet with no alcohol or cheat meals, drinking a gallon of water, reading 10 pages of a non-fiction book, and doing two 45-minute workouts, one of which must be outdoors, regardless of the weather conditions. Failing to complete any of these tasks means restarting the challenge from Day 1. Ankit took on this challenge to boost his mental toughness.
During his 75 Hard Challenge, memes were created where his voice was dubbed over videos of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and popular Indian entertainment characters such as Jethalal, etc. Baiyanpuria is the official athlete for Bull Nutrition Cafe in Gurugram and promotes MuscleBlaze products in his videos. Daily Routine
Ankit follows a vegetarian diet that includes milk, almonds, and ghee. After his workouts, he often enjoys a recovery drink called Badam Ragda, made by pressing almonds vigorously.He advocates for traditional fitness routines that enhance stamina, endurance, and overall strength, as opposed to bodybuilding exercises solely targeting muscle growth. In addition, he incorporates unconventional “desi” workout equipment such as lifting tires, wood, and gas cylinders into his training regimen. He also tries to hit the gym whenever itis possible. Ankit likes to lift heavy weights while he is in the gym. He adds pictures and videos of himself lifting heavy on his social media. He can bench press 200 kg and squat 220 kg. Furthermore, his highest recorded deadlift stands at an impressive 240 kg.

Baiyanpuria told,”I did a 75 Hard Challenge which was related to mental and physical fitness. I also promote traditional workouts. My message is that we should not make excuses and do some physical activity for at least an hour every day. It is a very good thing that for the first time, the government is promoting creators”.
