The Satvic Movement aims to teach people how to cure chronic diseases through food. The Saraf couple have overcome chronic conditions through a Satvic way of life. They also co-authored a book, The Satvic Revolution: 7 Life-Changing Habits to Discover Peak Health and Joy.

Subah and Harshvardhan Saraf are health educators, changemakers, authors and co-founders of the Satvic Movement. At the age of 13, Subah was diagnosed with multiple health challenges and was prescribed numerous medications. On the other hand, Harshvardhan, merely at the age of 10, struggled with chronic sinusitis from birth and developed psoriasis. With time, their lives took a drastic turn when they came across the idea of using food and lifestyle changes to heal health problems. Soon, they started implementing the new lifestyle and were able to reverse the disease in just a couple of months.

The Biginning

Subah Saraf, known professionally as Subah Jain, was born in 1999 in India. As a child, Subah went through 7 years of sickness. At a young age of 13, Subah was diagnosed with thyroid disorder. She was extremely overweight. Despite taking medications prescribed by doctors, her condition only worsened when she was later diagnosed with PCOD. In 2016, Subah’s life took an unexpected turn. She met various masters who shared with her that medicines weren’t the answer for her health issues. They taught her about the power of reconnecting with nature and adopting a satvic diet and lifestyle. Having exhausted all her options, she decided to give their teachings a try. After just four months of following this new lifestyle, she had a breakthrough moment, Her blood test came normal. She was surprised to see that diseases for which she was taking medicine for so many years had simply disappeared by changing her food and lifestyle.

Married Life

In 2019, when Subah was looking for a venue to host health workshops in Mumbai, she happened to find a space which was run by Harsh. He went through a similar healing journey and he too was able to radically reverse his psoriasis and sinusitis by following a similar lifestyle as her.

The growth of Satvic Movement

As Subah and Harsh started uploading more videos, millions of people around the world immediately connected to this message of health and started experiencing the same benefits that they did. And that lead to the formation of Satvic Movement. Today there’s a beautiful Satvic community all over the world and than 35 team members who work day and night to take this movement forward.

In India, Satvic Movement’s work of providing health- education content & online workshops, has reached over 5 million subscribers on its Youtube Channel and 1 million followers on instagram. The Satvic food book, distributed by HarperCollins has reached more than 70,000 readers. The online workshops have till date reached over 1,00,000 total participants and for several of them, it has transformed their lives. The organisation has 30 full time team members who work remotely.

The yoga wing leaders, Radhika and Akshay, will host a seminar on the seven chakras, incorporating meditation, asanas, breathwork, and more. Additionally, the fest will feature sound healing workshops, a treasure hunt organized by the team, Satvic speed dating, where attendees will meet like-minded partners, and live music performances by famous bands like Kabir Cafe. Multiple stalls, including those offering plant-based, wholesome foods (by renowned restaurants and Satvic community members) and eco-friendly and organic products from conscious homegrown brands, will also be part of the experience. A special kid-friendly zone with activities will keep children engaged throughout the day, allowing parents to explore the fest at their own pace. Plus, the event will be pet-friendly, ensuring a fun experience for the whole family.

Subah & Harshvardhan Saraf, Co-Founders of the Satvic Movement, said, “We have finally reached the last leg of our nationwide tour. We chose Bangalore as our final stop because this is our home and where most of our community resides. We’ve noticed that people here lead hectic lives yet are health-conscious and eager to incorporate healthier practices. However, they often need a clear plan, knowledge, and practical guidance in the health education space. We are eager to share this knowledge and meet our community, who have joined us in many in-person workshops. We want to show how embracing a Satvic lifestyle has profoundly impacted our lives. Each step we take together towards understanding Satvic principles brings us closer to a deeper sense of peace, clarity, and fulfilment. We hope that through this experience, attendees will find the inspiration to integrate these practices into their daily lives and witness the positive changes that follow.”
