MKBHD Hates iPhone 16 Pro to Win the Best Camera Phone Every Year

Marques Brownlee, the popular tech YouTuber also known as MKBHD, announced Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra as the best smartphone of the year. In a recent video titled ‘Smartphone Awards 2024’ he picked the best phones in different categories also explaining the reasons behind them.

Apple’s iPhone Pro series has been the best overall camera smartphone for the past several years. This year too, iPhone 16 Pro is the best camera phone of the year.

He said, “If you had to take just one smartphone from this year to take all of your photos and videos, the choice is still the iPhone 16 Pro. The streak continues.“

“And yeah, I hate them winning evey year just as much as the next person. But look, ask anyone who shoots and relies on videos and photos from their smartphone regularly what they would use, and the answer just keeps coming back, iPhone 16 Pro,” he added.

He also mentioned Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Vivo X200 Pro to have great cameras, but in overall quality and consistency iPhone’s camera wins this category every year.

Despite having the best camera quality in the iPhone 16 Pro, it’s not the best overall smartphone in the awards list of MKBHD.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra took the award for the best smartphone of the year 2024. Talking about it he said, “This phone is so good at everything. Literally everything.”

“I think my philoshopy here is, I am rewarding overall greatness.”

The other best smartphones that he mentioned are Vivo X200 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, iPhone 16, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the most value-for-money phone, Nothing Phone (2a).
