The Government of India, through its citizen engagement platform — MyGov, has announced the first-ever National Creators Award 2024 to celebrate the impact of digital content creators and changemakers.

With over 20 award categories, nominations for the National Creators Award are open till February 29 on the MyGov website. You can also nominate yourself if you’re a content creator on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or X (formerly Twitter).

The award categories include the Best Storyteller Award, Best Creator for Social Change, Cultural Ambassador of the Year, Best Travel Creator Award, The New India Champion Award, Tech Creator Award, Celebrity Creator of the Year, and others.

You can self-nominate yourself in a maximum of three categories, and those nominating others can nominate their favourite creators in all categories.

Nominations will be evaluated based on creativity, impact, reach, innovation, sustainability, and alignment with the goals of the Award given in a specific category.

The number of followers or subscribers will also be considered as of 9th February 2024. Winners for each category will be decided based on a combination of the Jury’s evaluation and public votes.

The creator economy in India is growing day by day and the National Creator Award 2024 is a great initiative by the government to recognise the impactful voices from across the country.

I have been observing how your content impacts the people of our country. And we have an opportunity to make this impact even more effective.

PM Narendra Modi

Spearheaded by MyGov, the National Creators Award aims to bring a community of creators, leaders and government on one platform to spur a social revolution by recognizing and boosting digital creators who are making an impact.

Digital creators are the new storytellers who are actively driving social impact, promoting local culture, and boosting tourism in the nation. Finally, the Government is also recognising the impact of content creators and amplifying the influence of digital media in today’s time.
